I just had to include this darling picture of my little girl. I plonked her on her stomach and she happily stayed like that for quite a while.

Moments like that..even her lifting her head are just amazing and so neat to me.

Speak of the devil...shes awake! Better go tend to that.

Interesting Blog

Iv been on the lookout for lots of interesting blogs, im always trying to see what people are knitting/crocheting. Some of the creations out there are just genious!
Anyway, i came across this blog which i found pretty funny. Having a newborn myself, i could relate to a lot of things.
Have a look, you won't be dissapointed...theres also a reference to Project Runway. A lot of people really love this show. I feel it's because it doesnt have a whole load of drama or not so much fake drama. Unlike other shows, the contestants actually have to have some talent. It's just great!

In other news....im tired right now, i work a few nights a week, to get a small break from the baby and just for extra money really. Not many people work for the sheer fun of it. Anyway...im pretty darn tired, by the time i get home my husband is usually asleep, as is baby (yay!) but im so amped up that it takes me about an hour to wind down. Ill usually try and crochet something but underneath im so weary and exhausted, it comes out terrible.

haha!

Now that i have a baby, i have found humour in new things that i may have not understood before.

Earthquake

The area i live in, experienced an earthquake today. The main one was about an hour away but we could mildy feel it here. We dont get a lot in Nevada, the last one might have been in 1910. Very exciting! I thought it was just strong wind but our bed was shaking and the walls were moving a bit.

Brianna Denison

I've recently been reading all the heart breaking stories about this beautiful girl, Brianna. I didn't know her but live not far from Reno (a few hours) and i have visited often and have friends at UNR. Even though she wasnt a student of UNR it still seems close to home. It is truely heartbreaking to think this young girl will never live her live, have children, get married. Whoever did this needs to be put away forever. I can't imagine what her family and friends are going through. I just hope are all ok.

Crocheting Time!

I've been trying my hand at crocheting and it's going pretty well. I've made a blanket and some other small things but i really want to be doing fabulous things like this girl from the Netherlands. Anne Petit Claire does some amazing work. She knits too but who could resist these creations?! I tell you...it's inspiration! I like to run before i learn to walk and im definatly guilty of that here!

I have a little girl...Kate sitting on my knee watching my type. Shes very interested in everything that goes on around her. Nosey little fairy :)

Project Runway

I am addicted to Project Runway. My husband was watching it one day, just flicking through channels...and now i can't wait for the next episode. I am not, however, a big fan of reality shows. Whos going to be the next superstar, model, criminal, loser?! I mean come on! Give it a rest. I can't help but feel that so much of it is staged anyway. But for now PR has my vote. Each season it takes me a little while to get used to the new contestants, and then it is as if i've always known them. The newest season is very interesting. I hated Christian...how stuck up and ignorant! As the episodes went on he has really proved himself and i think hes a great designer.
He's "Fierce!" But really....he has some talent. I love his quirky comments. "Im going to diiiieeee of barfness" "If i have to see another tube dress, i'll kill myself" Hes GREAT!
Chris is pretty decent too, but he wouldn't be here if it wasnt for Jack having to leave for a medical emergency, but he'd holding in there. This season didn't bring any people that i truely couldn't stand unline previous seasons. Good job.

First Post

This marks my first post on this site.
Blogging has become quite the thing these days, and i wanted to get in on it. I find myself searching for an image on google, say a croched blanket or an interesting art piece and before you know it, i've read through someones blog for the past month. Quite addicting i must admit.
I love how you can connect with people with the same interests and share things you might never have seen or thought of before.
So about myself.....I've been married for about 8 months and we have a 10 week old baby, Kate. I go to college and work very part time but iv found how much free time (well sort of free time) i have on my hands now. I've taken up crocheting and im really getting into that. I can't make much else but blankets but i still feel proud about that! I love art and iv grown up around it all my life. My mum is a great artist, visit her site here...www.highlandartltd.com. Her stuff is all around America and Scotland, where we are originally from.
Im in the process of burning a lot of cd's with kates pictures. Im trying to get them off the computer to free up some space. Its amazing how many pictures we take when we have a digital camera. There are no limits. I find myself taking tons of pictures daily!
Im off to feed a hungry baby..and mummy.
